Fox and Imagine Television have signed a deal with Netflix to create new episodes of Arrested Development that will be available in 2013 to Netflix Subscribers in the U.S. Arrested Development first aired in 2003 and quickly had a cult following. The shows popularity in early 2003 was due to the great cast of actors and actresses such as Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, and Michael Cera. Unfortunately by the end 2006 FOX had cancelled to the show due to lack of viewership.
With Netflix signing a deal with FOX and Imagine Television Netflix subscribers in the U.S will be able to watch nine or ten new episodes of Arrested Devolpment in 2013 according to the show’s creator, Mitchell Hurwitz. Along with FOX and Imagine Television funding the production of shows, Netflix will also be funding part of the production cost.
Five years have past since the cancellation of Arrested Development but fans of the show continue to live on and now will be able enjoy the new episodes on Netflix soon.
